"At the end of the day, those ideas we latch on to aren't enough to motivate us. But when we run around on the injustices of reality, they're the only things that can break through, make the impossible possible, and allow us to proceed on. That's what I believe" - A place further than the universe

A sudden trip to Thredbo

A sudden trip to the Kosciuszko. We stayed at Thredbo Diggings. Expected some rain but for the whole stay it did not rain at all! (It was raining the whole way there and back) We were able to enjoy a very starry sky by the campfire. Peaceful times.

The moon was so bright
There were so much rain on the way
Especially, Thredbo river at spring was magical

We also saw a lot of Possums!

What a relaxing trip

Trip report: Gibberagong Track & Murrua Fire Trail loop

Date: 11/02/2021
Participants: My neighbour and I

An exploration in the Ku-rin-gai Chase National Park with my neighbour.

We started at Murrua road in Hornsby and made our way along Gibberagon track. On our side there was the Cockle creek with a mirror-like surface.

There were also plenty of rocks, allowing us to cross the creek at one point to arrive at a junction.

On the other side of the creek

We took an ascent to Murrua fire trail, spotting a few wildlife as we made our way up.

There were plenty of gum trees, and my neighbour was telling me a ghost story so the trees suddenly became much creepier.

It was very sunny and we saw a lot of cyclists joyfully pedaling under the big and swollen sun.

We had lunch at a beautiful lookout to Cowan creek and Bobbin head.

The turn to our lookout point

After lunch, we made our way down to Bobbin head, there was only a very fainted track so it was really fun finding the way down.

Finally we arrived at Bobbin head and there was a school group surrounding what seemed like an Aboriginal site.

We waited until they finished their lesson and found out that there were a lot of axe grinding grooves.

We enjoyed the scenery at Bobbin head for a little bit. Although the water may not be as pristine, but its mirror-like surface made it to be very interesting.

We returned via the Giberragon track.

This time the track was more rocky since we were closer to the creek.

We spotted a huge spider once we returned to the fire trail!

It was a very relaxing day for me and my neighbour.

Return back to the gate!

Queen's birthday skiing trip

Queen's birthday long weekend trip to the Snowys mountain with my neighbours and their work colleges. We went to Perisher valley the first day and Thredbo on the second. I had a lot of fun and I realised how skiing with your friends can be really fun even if they are beginners. I will definitely go back to enjoy some more skiing before the season ends.
