My first overnight canyoning trip! I was lucky enough to be on Felix's trip to the Bungleboori south creek canyons together with Anna - his mother, Michael and Tim. We arrived at our camp in Bungleboori north after a tiring walk carry all our camping gear and canyoning gears, including 2 60m ropes. Our camp for the trip was an overhang, this was very exciting because it was my first time camping without a tent, on a rock platform. We explored Cannons canyons in the afternoon after our lunch at the campsite. It had 3 abseils and was amazing but I didn't even know that was a canyon because there wasn't any constriction! My favourite part was having dinner and gathering at the camp fire. It was a very peaceful feeling hearing everyone stories while drinking soup by the fire. After that, Felix, Michael, Tim and I walked to the stargazing rock. The night sky there were a view that I would never forget, it was different from any night sky that I had seen before, it was fully filled by white sprinkles - the star! I even saw the Milky way for the first time! Felix and Michael showed me the southern Cross and two of the brightest stars on the sky (which I forgot the name) to use for navigation. The next day we explored Whip bridge canyon, although there was only 1 short constriction at the start, the Bungleboori creek were an amazing spot for lunch and the view when we climbed back was just wonderful. My abseiling skill also has improved a lot since I abseiled without anyone belaying! This trip has been the most exciting trip so far for me since there were lots of first times that will forever be in my memories.
